jobless in summer...

Ah, so once again I will be jobless this summer. Unfortunately I haven't been hired back for another term at my current job. Even more frustrating is that I didn't start looking for another job until it was too late, and nobody is hiring. Even if I had started searching, I don't think I would have found anything. This recession is really affecting everything. I really didn't think it would touch me at all and now here I sit, about to go on unemployment once again. I mean, don't get me wrong, I would love to sit around and not do anything and not work during the beautiful summer months. The thing is folks, I LOVE my job! I love teaching so much. When I don't get a contract somewhere I get bummed out. Thankfully my sister and I booked a trip to Cuba, which we will be taking in just over a week. I can't wait. This term has been particularly rough for me, so I really need a vacation. And it will be my first time on an airplane! That should be interesting. I feel really sorry for my sister, LOL. I am going to take the time that I am not working and get in shape! As they say on the Biggest Loser..."The next time you see me America, I'm going to be one hot mama!" LOL.
